Ein klarer Versuch. Warum ich das sofort erkannt habe behalte ich für mich. Wir wollen es den Jungs ja nicht noch einfacher machen... Hier alle Angaben für die Suchmaschinen:

Thanks for your reply and assistance so far. I have just concluded arrangements with the visitors and they have decided to stay at your place for that period. However a Certified Bank Cheque of (€ 10,000 Euro) was earlier made out by the Authorities who are sponsoring the guest who are visiting. The Cheque payment was meant to cover for cost their accommodation, car rental services, and other necessary arrangements for all the 10 persons who were initially meant to come for this trip together, but due to some circumstances the other 7 persons will not be able to make the trip anymore, so only 3 persons are now coming.

I will not be able to make a deposit seperately because the all the money meant for paying for their accomodation come in one cheque package, Therefore i have been instructed to send you the Cheque, so when you receive the check payment you are required to deduct the cost of your accomodation services and keep the balance of their money which has already been designated by sponsors for other logistics arrangements for the guest. I will give you further instructions on how to use the balance. I need you to confirm this and provide the following information:

Hallo allseits,

ich habe denselben Betrugsversuch erlebt und nun die email-Adresse bei Google-Mail als Phishing gemeldet, hoffen wir, dass diese bald deaktiviert wird. Allerdings wird der Gute wohl in Kürze unter einer anderen Adresse weitermachen.

Nichtsdestotrotz anbei die übermittelten Texte, um diese bei den gängigen Suchmaschinen zu indizieren, falls weitere Personen solche Schreiben bekommen und hoffentlich wenigstens einmal danach googeln.

Meinen Namen habe ich ausge(XXX)t und es handelt sich um ein kleines Gästehaus, welches wegen Übernachtungen angeschrieben wurde.

Ich hatte gehofft, wenn ich mich naiv stelle weitere Details zu bekommen für mögliche Rückschlüsse, um diese ggf. auch an die Polizei zu übermitteln, aber er geht nicht darauf ein.

Von daher keine Chancen an den Kerl ran zu kommen, also kann nur empfehlen "Finger weglassen"!

In diesem Sinne hoffe ich, dass es nicht allzu viele Geschädigte gibt und diese auch ihre Texte online stellen und das email-Account des Betrügers melden*sperren lassen!

Thanks for email. The guest are obviously responsible adults between the age 31- 39 yrs, so you do not need to bother about anything. Two out of 3 of them are regular travellers, and they do not smoke, although i do not know if the third person smokes, so i would have to contact Mark and ask him,all the guest is coming for hoildays

Glücklicherweise ist mir der Betrugsversuch noch rechtzeitig aufgefallen bevor ich weitere Informationen schickte...

Nun wandern seine Nachrichten direkt in den Müll...

schön, dass es das Internet gibt, denn Mr. Floyd ist auch mir bestens bekannt. Unverschämterweise wollte er bei mir zum gleichen Zeitraum mieten wie für moon.
[U]Auch die Texte sind identisch[*U] incl. der Automaten-Übersetzung des Englischen ins Deutsche, der angemeldeten Mieter etc. Mir wollte er aber nur 6900 Pfund zahlen.
Da er auf eine alte Annonce geantwortet hatte, schickte er den Scheck auch an die dort angegebene Adresse. Nach kurzer Zeit kam die Nachfrage, ob der Scheck schon angekommen sei und eingezahlt wurde. Daraufhin gab ich ihm meine richtige Adresse- und nach einigen Tagen trudelte bei mir ein neuer Scheck auf die gleiche Summe ein. In der Zwischenzeit verfüge ich also über 2 Schecks (von seinem "sponsor") über den gleichen Betrag.
Was natürlich für ihn kontraproduktiv war, denn jetzt war mir klar, dass das Ganze ein Betrugsversuch ist. Beim BKA spricht man von "nigeria connection".
Ärgerlich wurde ich dann, als ich mich daran erinnerte, dass ich einem Mietinteressenten für diesen Zeitraum abgesagt habe. Konkret entstand mir also doch ein Schaden.
Hat jemand eine Idee, wie ich an die entgangene Miete komme? Konkret: Kann man die Jungs linken?
Gibt es irgendwo die Möglichkeit zu erfahren, wer sich genau dahinter verbirgt?
